PressGuard Ⅱ | Upgrade Pressure-Mounted Safety Baby Gate for Doorways & Stairs

This updated version is much better and easier to install than the older version which has a narrow opening and requires 2 extensions for our stairway. We are replacing the old one that broke after 5 years. The new gate arrived with a broken piece, the bottom latch did not latch. We received a replacement quickly however it is a pain to install a gate, uninstall and install a new one. Especially with 2 little kids, free time is a precious commodity. I don’t enjoy wasting my free time messing around with a broken gate and waiting for a replacement

Very solid made. Quality material and very nice finishing. The instructions are not the greatest, but with a somewhat mechanical touch one can easily figure it out.

I've done through multiple different baby gates (styles, brands, etc) looking for one that will last and hold up to a toddler. I still think each brand and type of baby gate has its own pros and cons, and this one by Babelio is no exception. I specifically went with a pressure mount version this time because I didn't want to have to drill even more holes into my walls, since none of them ever line up again. The pressure mount works well on this gate, and it even included some pads you can screw into the wall to keep the pressure pads in place. I opted not to use the pads, as I think the gate is secure enough right now without them. I also chose this gate because it has a dual lock mechanism. You need to press both the top and bottom of the latch at the same time and in a specific order. Problem we had with the gate before this was our toddler figured out how to open the simple latch. This one is working well so far. This gate is heavier than our last couple gates, and the quality seems better than average too. Overall, I'm fairly impressed with this gate. It has good features, is easy to install and use, and it keeps our toddler from climbing the stairs. Recommended.

This gate hits that sweet spot between safety and convenience. The wide walk-through is super handy when you have your hands full, and the self-closing feature is one less thing to worry about when chasing a toddler or a dog. It holds firm without drilling holes in the wall, which was key for us as renters. The locking mechanism feels solid and reassuring, not cheap or flimsy. It does not scream "baby jail" like some gates do it actually blends in nicely.

This is a much better quality baby gate, and I highly recommend you get first, before spending money on cheaper or different versions. This attaches to the wall nicely, and gate opens and shuts easily. We love it. Going to order another for the kitchen.

I do love this gate but it doesn’t latch properly. All you have to do is lift the door and it will open. At least it won’t latch for us. That will most likely be good enough to keep the our one year old grandson in for now. The dog definitely won’t be opening it which is originally what this thing is for. The gate itself is very sturdy. We don’t expect the problem with our last gate that wore out and would no longer open as the latch spring had worn out. This replacement is far better in that the self closing attribute is excellent. It will also stay open if you open it all the way so my dog can get to her food and water at night and the grandkids are gone. But there will be no escapees out the front door when we aren’t looking and nobody will be surprised by dogs and babies when they come in or when bringing groceries inside.

The gate is well made and designed. However the "user" aka me... created a problem for the gate. When it was first installed it fit perfectly. Then I wanted to "move" it a bit so it looked more "square" with the wall. Unfortunately, I tightened the top adjust screw on the hinge side too much. That bent the framework to the point the gate no longer latched properly. It's safe to tighten the bottom screws but NOT the top ones too tight.

This baby gate was perfect for what we needed for the bottom of our stairs. It was super easy to install, and we just went with the pressure mounting. It feels really securely mounted against the walls. The black color looks very chic and doesn't stand out too much with our decor. The gate can be a little bit tricky to open, but that is pretty much the whole point for a baby gate. It's nice that you can change the width to some degree to fit whatever opening you need.I would definitely recommend this if you are looking for a baby proofing gate.

It works! now my dogs can't go upstairs to use the restroom

So happy with this purchase. This is such a great gate. We use it to keep our dog out of a bathroom that has our cat’s litter box (gross…I know…but thats life). I hated the idea of having to install a gate and put off purchasing one as long as possible. After seeing different types of baby gates at friends & families homes, I hated them. Flimsy, awkward, horrible. Not this one! Swings in or out, stays open if you let go, EASY to install, no permanent installation (just uses tension), gorgeous matte finish and the handle is actually easy to operate. I bought two more for when my twin grand babies are here. Couldn’t be happier with this purchase.

Easily installed, well made and functions perfectly. We use it to confine our Pomeranian to the bedroom at night.

Bought this gate to keep my dogs in the den. At first it was not level and didn’t close smoothly. So I removed and replaced it. Works great now. The height is perfect for my Shelties. Quality is great.

The release latch is a bit inconsistent but overall I am pleased with the quality

This gate comes with a 2�?(inch) extension that makes the gate expandable to 46�?(inches). I love the wide door for walk through purposes, it makes it so nice to move more freely. The locking mechanism is super easy to use. The door stays open at 90 degrees. It looks great and is sturdy just using the pressure. I’m using it for to keep puppy out of certain areas. The red/green indicator at the lock tells you if it’s installed and door locks properly.

This gate is fabulous! We use it on a narrow doorway for our foster dogs- it has been perfect and is clean looking. It works like a charm and closes with a satisfying “click!�?Highly reccomend!

This is a great basic gate, easy to install, opens and shuts smoothly and everything you needed is included. Its a very nice gate all around, just a bit pricey for what it is.

I just had one baby gate at the top of my stairs but soon realized that I need to have one at he bottom of the steps. This was a great addition, sturdy and well made. Easy to put up and size up to the bottom of the stairs. Easy as an adult to open and close but complex enough that our toddler cant just push it open.

So this is a FANTASTIC brand. Their gates are far superior to the competitors. The latching ability on this brand is my favorite. I have them all over my house. The installation of this gate is flawless. Just pull out of the box, put your tension adjusters in and you’re done. I find this brand to be the most secure as far as they don’t fall or budge with even a kid falling or tripping on them. Yes that happens. Only thing is make sure you read the dimensions. This gate is oddly wide!
