Very sturdy and aesthetically pleasing. No drilling into wood door frame. Easy to set up. The gate set perfectly in the doorway of my bathroom so the dog can’t get to the cats food and kitty litter while I recover from a knee replacement.

We got a new puppy and had to keep him from getting down to our basement level for now, but also let the cat go back and forth and this was a really good buy. We got a super cheap one just to get by for a bit until we found this one and this one made the cheap gate look like we hung up a piece of paper with tape and hope. The gate is very easy to use with one hand and is pretty well built. Most of the gate is metal with the squeeze handle being plastic. You don't "have" to utilize the permanent mounting hardware if you don't want to, but I did and it ended up being very stable. It's not going anywhere for sure.

I like the fact it has a spring return, but will also "lock" into an open position just by fully opening just past the 90° mark.

Tip: It took me a few minutes to figure out that to open the gate, you have to sqeeze the release lever and lift up to release the lower latching mech.

I couldn’t believe I found this gate with the cat in and out. It’s been perfect to making introductions with my new dog. My only dismay is I go in and out of my bedroom a lot and pinching the opening and lifting it it’s getting tighter and squeakier.

HIGH QUALITY gate! This is a wonderful gate. Unlike some others, I had no problem at all installing it. It was very easy. We are using this baby gate to keep or puppy out of our cat's room (that has her food in it) so the dog won't eat her food. This gate works so smoothly. Love that it closes shut automatically. I highly recommend this high quality gate!

Thank god this thing was so easy to put together and figure out because mine didn’t come with instructions lol but that could just be my luck and not an everyone thing. It is sturdy and seems pretty stable. The lock is a a nice feature as well. The small door at the bottom is the perfect size for our cat to be able to get through but not our son. We went with the 36” height so that way it will last us for years to come and I’m glad we did because we won’t have to worry about our son climbing over it. Overall seems worth the money spent👍🏻

This is baby gate number four for me. I beg you to please save yourself the aggravation and packing tape. It is the most expensive one, but not by much and so worth it. The quality of this gate is 100 times better than the other gates. It is sturdy. It has a nice matte finish. It does not feel or look chintzy. There are a number of additions you can put on, 3 separate ones for a perfect fit. The gate opening is much wider than the other gates. You do not have to put anything together like the others. It says you need to use the wall cups, I'm using it without the cups and I don't think you could budge that gate if you tried. It also comes with a little tool to tighten the sides. There is not a ton of the adjustment screws showing which was really annoying me on all the other gates. It also has a nice opening for your cat to go through that slides to the side. This opening will not accidentally fall down and does not have one of those annoying doors that just has to stay open. I have to wait and see if my 20 lb cat fits through it with the plastic piece in and if not I think I can take it out all together. To sum it up, it does not look cheap. The difference between this gate and the other gates is so incredibly drastic it's almost hard for me to believe.

A lifesaver!! Helped my two pets get acclimated to each other. Let’s both pets feel independent but safe and included too!

This sat in my cart for quite some time before finally making the purchase and I regret not buying it sooner. It was super easy to assemble, it’s great quality, and is just as pictured. My main hesitancy was the price point but it is constructed so well and looks so much more sleek than the cheaper options.

It is multi-functional and aesthetically pleasing. Keep the dog out, the babys in and let the cat through. Very intuitive and easy to install.

I just installed 3 of these in my daughter’s house. They’re definitely good quality but they have a design flaw. On 2 of the 3 gates the top latch didn’t align so I had to use a drill with a file bit to remove the plastic at the lower part of the latch. Everything else about the gates are good but for the gate to be safe the top latch has to work!

Didn’t like that the pet door cannot fully slide out of the way to be completely open, so I just unscrewed that part of the gate to remove the door completely. Security bars are great, but I wish they were the same color as the gate instead of plain metal. Also there were some minor scratches upon unboxing and the warning stickers are not stickers that are removable and kind of an eyesore so I just faced the nice side to the entryway of the mud room. Overall, happy with purchase.

This was a surprisingly nice gate. Got this so my cat could escape our new puppy and have a place of peace (bonus: puppy can't access the litter box and eat things he's not supposed to).
I can't say much on the ease of installation but husband got it up in 10 or 15 minutes and stressed that you MUST FOLLOW THE INSTALLATION GUIDE and to NOT cut the strap/ziptie ahead of time.

The gate is true to size that they stated in the description. So far I see no issue with its stability or see any safety concerns. Granted I don't have a toddler that might jerk on the gate and test those features.

Latch works great and is easy to open and close and 100% closes after being open so you KNOW a little one or a four-legged family won't "escape" and get into things they shouldn't.

Definitely recommend. Works great so far!

These gates are amazing. They are easy to install. They are strong as in not easy to break. I open & shut ours 10 times a day easily since I bought them 2 yrs ago & they are still like new. Our cats love them because of the cat door.

Very nice gate, well made and secure. The sliding acrylic cat door is very convenient and my cats like it better than the cat door with bars as those on my older pet gates. I use a set of Wall Nanny's to provide additional stability and reduce chance of damage to sheetrock walls.

Tall enough to keep the cats in or out, keeps the dog out of the room, easy to open, love the holding itself open feature! Great value! Super easy to set up, instructions are helpful.

Perfect for our current life. 10 month old baby and a 10 year old cat. Sometimes both have access, sometimes only one, sometimes neither! I love the options. And I also love the size options for the cat door so I can determine which one my cat can fit through without my son's head also fitting through lol
Also, my son shakes the crap out of the door and thankfully it hasn't budged once.

This gate is great. It’s itself closes itself the cat door slide sideways instead of opening so it’s unobtrusive when using it and it’s a perfect height..

Great idea. It helps keep my dogs away from my roommates cats and gives them privacy. Works well.

We got this gate to prevent our elderly dog from going up the stairs unsupervised, while still allowing our cats (and us) to go through. It works great for this purpose! I like that it matches the aesthetic of our house, seems very sturdy, and was relatively easy to install (we chose the pressure-mounted option). It's also nice that it closes on its own, or will stay open if pushed past a 90 degree angle.

When you open the gate to walk through, you have to squeeze two grey buttons on the top and bottom of the handle while simultaneously pulling upwards to lift the catch on the bottom of the gate door. I feel that you have to pull up with quite a bit of force, and that took some getting used to. People with arthritis or weakness in their hands/arms might find this gate difficult to open.

A couple other tips: I didn't want to use the sticky adhesive pads it came with for pressure-mounted installation (worried about damaging surfaces). Without them, the wall cups were slowly migrating as we used the gate, especially on the stairwell post (slicker surface). I solved this problem by adding 1.5-inch round anti-slip furniture pads (see picture) and now the wall cups stay in place perfectly without adhesive.

Final tip, when tightening the gate mounts on the top, be careful not to over-tighten or the gate will not open and close properly. Keep an eye on the gap between the left and right sides of the top latch while you are tightening. Once the gap shrinks to about 2 mm, you can stop. It's very easy to adjust the tightness later if there are any issues!

Exactly what we were looking for to keep our dogs out of spaces they don't belong. They are sturdy and nice looking and the gate closes on its own if you push it.

We got this gate to keep our puppy out of trouble. We have other gates but this one is way better. Its sturdier, doesn't feel loose in the door frame. I love that the little cat door slides open instead of swinging open like my other gates that we catch our shins on all the time. We also really like that it opens both directions, its so convenient. And it'll close behind you which is super handy when you've got a puppy tailing you.
Install was easier than other gates too with the tool they give you.

Definitely worth the price!

Love it so much that I bought two more. The fact that you don’t have to drill any holes in walls is fabulous. The mechanics of the gate are so smooth once we figured it out. Putting it on every staircase and some hallways now. Great gate to keep toddlers and dogs in their proper areas.
